As a Venezuelan, I have high standards for arepas. But with Carolicious you can't go wrong, they are the real deal! They bring the true flavors of Venezuela in their arepas. And their basil sauce is absolutely delicious!

This two women are amazing, you can feel the love and effort they put into their food, it is like eating a home-cooked meal, they make you feel at home and the amount of taste and flavor the arepas have is incredible. 100% recommended.

Caroliciuos is a must have!!! By far BEST Arepas in the Boston area!!They have a distinguished flavor that makes you keep coming for more!!! You have a variety of fillings to try. The first time that I tried them were during a private event and I completely feel in love with them. The arepas were a big successs and all the guest were very satisfied with this Venezuelan dish! I would definitely recommend to try this!

If you are a person that loves ethnic foods and want to try Venezuelan then nothing says more Venezuela than an AREPA. Arepas are a tasty cornmeal dough that is stuffed with one or more of several choices such as shredded beef, pork or chicken with avocado (Reina pepeada). My personal favorite is black beans with cheese. But don't start eating your arepa without first adding Carolina's special green sauce. Another thing I like about Carolina's arepas is it softer but still crunchy corn meal arepa that is not too hard like some others can become when cold. Carolina’s arepas are a delicious treat that will leave you wanting to eat another one. And that is my Tasty-mony.

These arepas are as unique as they are typical. How, you ask? They are everything you would expect in an arepa and so much more! The creativity that goes into meeting your taste and diet needs (think, for example, vegetarian arepas), combined with the adherence to tradition. The arepa and the pabellon bowls are also served promptly, yet you can tell that a lot of passion and attention went into the production by how succulent and visually appealing it came out. You can tell taste and quality have not be sacrificed for efficiency. Add all this to the gregarious welcome you receive from Las Carolinas, you could NOT have a better casual dining experience anywhere!

Las Carolinas are the undisputed queens of Venezuelan food here in Somerville. My favorite thing to eat when visiting Las Carolinas is their Arepas. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a late-night snack, the combinations and flavors that these ladies pack into each Arepa have made me a loyal follower. Naturally gluten-free and vegetarian options make it a great spot to go with friends with a variety of food preferences. More important than the food, these ladies make you feel like family. Their Instagram is fire as well. As they say, life is always better with Arepas :).

Carolina Garcia and Carolina Salinas take over Boston with their amazing cooking skills. Born in the South American country of Venezuela, this dynamic duo migrated to the United States to start a business. At first, they decided to start a bakery, as everyone enjoys delectable sweets. Who wouldn’t? However, Bostonians are known for their consciousness of having a healthy diet. Consequently, the Caros came up with a genius idea. So, they decided that they could share their Venezuelan culture and sell arepas, a traditional Venezuelan food. And what a success! Through hard work, the Caros have sold arepas in farmer’s markets and other events throughout the state. Recently, they have achieved a partnership with Aeronaut Brewing Company so that they could have a section of the bar for their arepas. Additionally, their arepas can be found in Nibble Kitchen in Sommerville. The Caros report that they want to spread a message saying anyone can do anything their hearts desire through hard work and persistence.

I would have never imagine coming to Boston and eating the best arepas I've had in my life! Delicious, and flavorful! The fillings are soooooo good I had to try them all! Service is incredible and presentation top notch!
